We have been trying to change our genetic potential here at East Fork Ranch through our breeding program. We have tried to develop our genetics with Artificial Insemination and only live breeding with genetically superior bucks. We are trying to develop both huge typical bucks and huge nontypical bucks so that we can accommodate any customer that we may have. The following are bucks that we have had in breeding program as well as ones that are currently breeding for us now.
In ’05 we decided to take the next step in improving our herd by AI. We used GB Highpoint (312” @3), GB Magic ( 282” @ 3 ), GB Buckster, and Mad Max (272” @ 3). We will be offering fawns out of these bucks this year.
All the does that were used in our program were of top quality.
